This guide will show you how to request access to certain parts of the [[Triton infrastructure]].
### Requesting access
> [!Note]
> Server access is only given in last resort and to trusted entities.
> It is **very** likely any demands will be rejected.
Before anything, ask yourself the following questions:
- Do I **really** need access?
- Why do I need access?
- Could my issue be handled by a ticket?
- Shouldn't I just be waiting for the software to update?
To request access, you will need to follow those steps:
1. Get a **public** SSH key working (`ed25519`, no `rsa` please).
- Additionally, upload that public SSH key to a known account (E.G. GitLab so we can verify you are indeed you).
2. Send a message within the proper channels (e-mail or via Signal) containing:
- Your public SSH key.
- Which server you want access to (please use the hostname).
- A pretty damn good reason as for why you want access.
